Many people are surprised to find that a fear of heights is rarely a problem when paragliding. Without a direct connection to the ground, the experience feels calm, natural, and incredibly freeing - making it an unforgettable adventure for almost everyone.

The earlier, the better. However, last-minute bookings are often possible even on the same day, depending on availability. For groups, we recommend booking your tandem paragliding flight at least 1-2 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date. If you're visiting on vacation, we also recommend scheduling your flight early in your stay. That way, if the weather isn't suitable, there's a better chance we can reschedule your flight.
Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive a confirmation via WhatsApp or email with all the important flight details and answers to the most common questions.
The Day Before Your Flight. We'll check the weather forecast and confirm your flight the day before. If conditions aren't suitable for a safe and enjoyable flight, we'll gladly reschedule you for another available date.
You can pay with a gift voucher, PayPal, Revolut, Bizum, or cash directly to your pilot. You only pay for the flight if it takes place.
If LavaFly has to cancel your flight due to weather conditions, there is no charge. If you'd like, we'll be happy to help you arrange a new flight date that works for you.
You may cancel your tandem paragliding flight free of charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled flight time. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late for your scheduled flight without prior notice, your booking will be considered a no-show. If you booked with a tandem flight gift voucher, the voucher will be considered redeemed and cannot be used again. If no gift voucher was used, the full price of the tandem flight will be charged.
Wear a warm, windproof jacket and long pants. If needed, we provide a free windproof paragliding Jacket (sizes XS-XXL). During the winter months, warm clothing is the best choice.
Wear sturdy hiking boots with good ankle support or sturdy athletic shoes with a good grip.
We recommend wearing sunglasses, prescription glasses, to protect your eyes from the wind during the flight.
We provide all the necessary certified flight equipment, including Certified tandem paraglider Harnesses with back protection Emergency reserve parachute Adjustable helmet.
All of our tandem pilots hold the required passenger flight certifications. Many are also certified paragliding instructors, tandem instructor trainers, and experienced competition pilots who have competed at the highest international level.
Your safety is our top priority. We use only modern, certified equipment that meets all required safety standards. Our paragliders are regularly inspected by independent testing organizations, and all reserve parachutes are professionally repacked at the required intervals.
All LavaFly tandem pilots carry the legally required passenger liability insurance.

No later than 8:00 PM on the day before your scheduled flight, we'll contact you by phone, WhatsApp, or text message to confirm your flight or, if necessary, reschedule it due to weather conditions. Please make sure you're available on the mobile number you provided when booking.
On the day of your flight, your pilot makes the final decision whether conditions are safe to fly. In rare cases, changing weather conditions may require a last-minute cancellation, even after you arrive at the launch site. If LavaFly has to cancel your flight due to weather, there is no charge, and we'll be happy to help you arrange a new flight date.

To ensure a safe flight, we require suitable weather conditions. Every flight is carefully assessed based on current weather and wind conditions before takeoff.
Your safety is our highest priority. For maximum safety, a second trained assistant is always present during takeoff preparation and landing. Because not all launch sites are wheelchair accessible, we encourage you to contact us as early as possible. This allows us to choose the most suitable location and make any necessary arrangements. The more we know about your individual needs in advance, the better we can prepare to provide you with a safe, comfortable, and unforgettable flying experience.
Parking at the beach "Playa de la Canteria": If you arrive by car, you can park directly below the take-off point. It is a 10 minute walk. If you arrive by public transport, we will pick you up at the bus stop in the port of Orzola.

The parking area at Mirador del Rio is about a
15-minute walk from the launch site. Follow the trail uphill toward the antennas, then continue
downhill
to the launch area. Please stay on the marked trail at all times, as the area is a protected nature
reserve.

After we confirm your flight the day before, you're ready to go! Please arrive on time and review the information we send you in advance. At check-in, we'll welcome you, check your clothing, and provide any necessary gear, such as hiking boots or a flight suit. You'll then meet your tandem pilot, who will explain the flight, answer your questions, and discuss optional photo and video packages during the drive to the launch site. At takeoff, we'll fit your harness and helmet, give you a short safety briefing, and practice the launch. After just a few steps, you'll be airborne! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the incredible views while your pilot takes care of everything. The flight route depends on the weather and your preferences whenever possible. Landing is smooth and easy. After the flight, you'll receive your photos and videos (if booked), and payment is made directly to your pilot.
Depending on the length of your flight, please allow about 10 minutes for your pre-flight briefing, equipment fitting, and takeoff preparation. Since paragliding is a weather-dependent outdoor activity, occasional delays are possible. We appreciate your understanding.
The flight times listed for our tandem flights are realistic and based on normal flying conditions. Since paragliding is a weather-dependent outdoor sport, actual flight times may occasionally vary. Please note that optional aerobatic maneuvers or more dynamic flying will also reduce the overall flight time.
We carefully schedule enough time for every flight. However, occasional delays may occur due to weather conditions or other operational factors. If your pilot is running more than 20 minutes late, we'll contact you by phone, WhatsApp, or text message. Please keep your mobile phone available.
Your pilot makes the final decision whether conditions are safe to fly. In rare cases, rapidly changing weather may require a flight to be canceled, even just before takeoff. We understand this can be disappointing, but safety always comes first. You will only be charged if your tandem flight takes place. Please note that any personal transportation or access costs incurred before a weather-related cancellation are your responsibility.
Your LavaFly gift voucher is valid for three years, in accordance with applicable legal requirements. The expiration date is printed directly on your voucher. Once expired, vouchers cannot be extended or refunded.
